OUR WORK

REINTEGRATION CENTERS

Halfway Houses

We have "Halfway Houses" intended for individuals who have completed their treatment but do not have a place to begin their reintegration process. We offer them a home where they can acquire the necessary tools to achieve residential and job autonomy and reconnect with their families.

Currently, there are 2 Halfway Houses operating within the following locations:

-Residential Facility at B° Cristalería: Lorenzo Battle 4302 – Rosario.

-Buen Pastor Complex: Gálvez 777 – Rosario.

Adult School Papa Francisco

We focus on the educational and employment inclusion of young people and adolescents through five classrooms in low-income neighborhoods of our city, which form the Adult School "Papa Francisco". In addition to the standard curriculum, the study plan includes a vocational training program through workshops.

The Adult School currently supports, accompanies, and provides a safe environment for the young and adult population in our neighborhoods affected by substance abuse issues, firmly believing that education is a right for everyone, in society and with others. en sociedad y con otros.

In these times when institutions are overwhelmed, opening a school with classrooms in the most vulnerable neighborhoods is a significant challenge. Young people, families, and neighborhood communities are in crisis. From these places of Padre Misericordioso, it becomes more human to dream together of a project that welcomes everyone, enabling them to complete high school..

In the Adult School Papa Francisco team, we adopt a constructive approach rooted in Popular Education for our students, focusing on the following CORE ASPECTS:

Textile Workshop

Since 2017, the Padre Misericordioso Community has initiated a project with a group from the trans community, who attended a hairdressing workshop. Thanks to this first workshop, we were able to get in touch with the reality of the girls, understand their needs, and thus establish some means, within our possibilities, to offer them help.

After evaluating the continuity of our work with them, we found it more feasible to undertake a textile production workshop. Thus, in January 2018, the Textile Training Course for the trans community began at the San Juan Pablo II Headquarters, in the central area of the city of Rosario.

Since 2019, responding to the demand of a group of people who approached our institution, we have opened to the LGBTI reality. Given the need for a possibility that could generate income and promote autonomy, we incorporated a support workshop for those women affected gender-based violence and substance abuse issues. Thanks to the benefit of the trans labor quota, several women have been able to find work outside of street labor, leading to their less frequent participation in the workshop. Nonetheless, the workshop continues to be a valuable training opportunity for people passionate about sewing, who lack access to such education due to financial constraints.

We continue to offer free weekly training sessions in pattern making and textile production, as well as in patchwork, embroidery, and artisanal textile printing. These workshops attract a diverse group of participants, ranging in age from 16 to 65, primarily women and members of the LGBTI community. From these training sessions, we recruit the production team for the Shullka brand. In this way, we encourage women to acquire their first skills for navigating the textile industry, fostering both individual and community entrepreneurial spirit in nearly all participants.

Pini's workshop is a course dedicated to training, design, and textile production, belonging to the Padre Misericordioso Comunity. For attendees and past participants, it has become a place where people find support, a listening ear, and assistance, both human and spiritual.

For us, it is essential to promote inclusion opportunities because this allows us to support not only recovery processes but, above all, life projects.
