OUR WORK

PREVENTION CENTERS

The community supports at-risk children through its Childhood Centers, located in the low-income neighborhoods of the city of Rosario.

These are places designed to recreate a safe environment for children, providing opportunities to develop skills and abilities through recreational, artistic, sports, and school support workshops.

As centers of support, companionship, listening, dialogue, and the development of various activities, they emerge as preventive alternatives in response to the many temptations offered by the streets.

Additionally, adolescents and young people in our neighborhoods, often facing extreme vulnerability, find support in our facilities as well.

Centers designed to support processes from early childhood through youth, addressing the new challenges that come with it.

Currently we assist over 600 children and adolescents across the various neighborhoods where we operate.

The teams at these centres collaborate with professionals (psychologists, social workers, educators), volunteers, and workshop facilitators.

CHILDHOOD CENTERS

The Childhood Centers are places dedicated to supporting, nurturing, and enriching the lives of young children through recreational sports, cultural, and educational activities. Our aim is to foster a sense of family atmosphere, promoting good habits and values while providing a safe environmet where "children can freely enjoy their childhood." Through a variety of activities, we aim to offer alternatives to spending time on the streets, where they may be exposed to substance use. We provide tools and resources to help them build the lives they want to have.

These are centers intended for children aged 6 to 14 years old. They have been doing their activities since December 2017 every afternoon from Monday to Saturday. Among the activities conducted, we can mention:

  •       Workshops (art, dance, reading and writing, cooking, gardening, music, percussion), sports activities (taekwondo, soccer, volleyball, skating), school support, outings, free play, cinema, etc.

Additionally, all centers provide snacks daily, and lunch or dinner several times a week. Currently, we operate 9 Childhood Centers across 7 low-income neighborhoods in the city of Rosario.

LIFE CENTERS

They are built as areas for gathering, communication, and reference—a place where individuals can come to share their experiences, engage in various activities, and share a meal, fostering a fraternal bond that promotes acceptance and understanding of others through comprehensive support.

Their motto is "embracing life as it comes," with all its complexity, emphasizing open doors and mutual care. The coexistence dynamics is built on guidelines that teach respect for each other's lives, discourage substance use within the center, and strive to maintain a violence-free environment. This demonstrates that there are paths and alternatives to substance use, which is often prevalent in the neighborhood.

These centers host a variety of activities, including:

  • Vocational training (such as baking, welding, manicure, barbering, sublimation), physical and sports activities, school support, Adult School, a program for mothers and women, and outings.
